From Elizabeth Benjamin at the NY Daily News:
During an hour-long radio town hall meeting this morning, Gov. David Paterson appeared to suggest that he personally leaked the story about his alleged attempt to interfere in the domestic violence case of his top aide, David Johnson, the DN’s Glenn Blain reports.
While discussing whether the press has been unfair in its coverage of Paterson’s tribulations, WOR host John Gambling noted it was the media that first uncovered the “situation” with Johnson’s ex-girlfriend, Sherr-una Booker.
“That’s actually not true,” Paterson replied. “… I don’t want to go into it, but the person who informed others that there was such a conversation was me.”
