GREEN BAY – Should aldermen be able to issue tickets? That was the question in front of one Green Bay city committee Monday night.
One of Green Bay’s new aldermen, Shae Sortwell, says he gets about 20 calls a week for things like grass that’s too long, trash, and noise.
Sortwell says if he could just write a ticket for those things, it’d be faster and easier than calling officials, and it would allow police to focus on more important things. That’s why he wants Green Bay city council members to be able to issue citations.
