Nothing against Julianne Moore, who’s a lovely woman in her own right, but it’s pretty funny how hard they had to work to make her look as good as Sarah Palin. Daily Mail:
Julianne Moore’s role as the former Alaska Governor and vice-presidential candidate in HBO’s Game Change has set tongues wagging not only in praise of her compelling performance but also because of her uncanny physical likeness to Mrs Palin, 48.
The flame-haired actress, 51, underwent two hours of make-up every day to complete the look and emerged unrecognisable. As herself, that is.
In order to create the almost identical appearance, every detail of Ms Moore’s aspect was examined, compared and altered, from the wig she wore right down to the skin colour and shape of her jaw line…
Ms Moore surprised even herself with the metamorphosis. She admitted: ‘It was pretty interesting, because I’d forget sometimes. We had long days.
‘So when you came into the makeup trailer and you started to wipe it all off, it was always a surprise that it was me again. People were like, “Oh, wow!”‘
Er… They were saying it in a good way, I’m sure.
Moore is only three years older? Huh. Well, nonetheless, it was an impressive achievement in makeup effects. If there’s a sequel, maybe by that point the film industry will have made the necessary advancements in CGI.
And who is Moore voting for in November? The answer may surprise you not in the slightest!

In other Game Change news, the following from Jeff Poor is interesting, if not exactly surprising:
Last week Fox News host Bill O’Reilly revealed that Georgetown Law student and contraception advocate Sandra Fluke, perhaps known for her ill-advised portrayal by conservative talker Rush Limbaugh, had secured the services of SKDKnickerbocker, a public relations firm with offices in Albany, N.Y., New York City and Washington, D.C.
The public relations firm has close ties to President Obama, with one of its managing directors being former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn. But Fluke isn’t the only high-profile client the firm has represented in recent days.
As first reported by Betsy Rothstein of FishbowlDC, SKDKnickerbocker was involved with the initial rollout of the HBO film “Game Change,” a film which has been criticized by many on the right for its negative portrayal of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.
Emily Lenzner, also one of the firm’s managing directors, confirmed its involvement with “Game Change” to The Daily Caller.
Ever get the feeling you’ve been manipulated?
