NBA player Kevin Durant has game, both on and off the court.
The 6’9″ small forward representing the Oklahoma City Thunder recently got engaged to his 5’10” WNBA girlfriend Monica Wright. The future Mrs. Durant announced the couple’s engagement Sunday after her Minnesota Lynx humiliated the Phoenix Mercury 91-59.
Besides sharing each other’s arm since 2006 after meeting at the McDonalds High School All-American games, Durant and Wright were also both the second overall picks of their respective draft classes.
In a romantic example of life imitating art, guard/forward Wright shares the name of the female lead from the film “Love and Basketball,” a 2000 chick flick about two pro ballers who find love.
