Men in the U.K. with hair loss problems can rest easy, knowing that wearing a helmet that shoots lasers might remedy the situation.
The helmet, the iGrow Hair Growth System, re-energizes hair follicle cells by exposing them to a low-level red laser and LED lights.The India Times reports that the helmet is now available in the U.K.
The treatment is known as low-level laser therapy.
The device’s manufacturer, Aspira Science, claims the system can trigger a 35 percent to 40 percent increase in hair growth.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration gave the device the green light in the U.S. on Aug. 1, 2013.
