Watch and learn: Play PS4 on your Xbox One

The console war kicks off with the release of Xbox One on Friday, you can have peace in your living room by playing the PlayStation 4 on Microsoft’s new system.

To accomplish this unprecedented feat, connect the HDMI cable from your PS4 into the HDMI port of your Xbox One, then connect your Xbox One to your TV.

Make sure your PS4 is on when you select the “Watch TV” option on your Xbox One. The display will switch to the output from your PS4.

Peace be with you — now you can operate your PS4 through your Xbox One, no lag or input switching required.

Beyond being awesomely ironic, this feature actually has some legitimate uses — you can use the snap feature to keep your PS4 game on-screen while you stream Xbox One apps like Netflix or Hulu.

You can also receive Xbox Live notifications while in the middle of your PS4 game.

Stay connected on both fronts and mediate the console war through XBox One.
