The theme song from the 1984 Eddie Murphy hit “Beverly Hills Cop” is the most American of all songs, according to the Philippines.
President Obama was greeted with the song (which is apparently the most recent American pop culture reference that Filipinos are aware of) after landing in Manila during the last stop on his Asian tour, ABC News reports.
Can someone send over some VHS copies of “Dr. Doolittle,” at least?
