(Reuters) – Hurricane Arthur has gained strength and its outer rainbands are reaching southern portions of North Carolina, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said in its latest advisory.
The hurricane was located about 150 miles (240 km) south-southwest of Cape Fear, North Carolina, with maximum sustained winds of 80 miles per hour (130 kph).
