In an interview with ABC News’ Jon Karl, George Prescott Bush said that it was “more than likely” that his father, former Florida governor Jeb Bush, would run for president.
KARL: So is your dad going to run for president?
BUSH: I think he’s still assessing it.
KARL: Do you think it’s more than 50 percent or less than 50 percent?
BUSH: I think that it’s more than likely he’s giving it a serious thought—
KARL: More than likely he’ll run?
BUSH: –that he’ll run. If you would have asked me a few years back, I would have said it was less likely.
KARL: So, the family would be behind him 100 percent?
BUSH: The family will be behind him 100 percent, if he decides to do it.
