After Nicki Minaj’s “Only” lyric video was filled with animated Nazi-inspired imagery–her as a military dictator, bombs dropping all over the place, red banners draping the buildings with a logo strikingly similar to a swastika–Minaj issued a half-ass apology on Twitter Tuesday morning, saying she’s sorry “if it has offended anyone.”
The artist who made the lyric video for “Only” was influenced by a cartoon on Cartoon Network called "Metalocalypse" & Sin City.

Both the producer, & person in charge of over seeing the lyric video (one of my best friends & videographer: A. Loucas), happen to be Jewish

I didn't come up w/the concept, but I'm very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone. I'd never condone Nazism in my art.

In the series of tweets, Minaj said the video was simply inspired by the Adult Swim cartoon “Metalocalypse” and “Sin City.”
Then her second excuse was that the guy who oversaw the project, “one of my best friends,” was Jewish.
Since her heartfelt apology, she has been constantly retweeting a picture of her from her teenage years.
