A pair of New York City police officers were allegedly assaulted by a group of spectators who attempted to interfere with an arrest the officers were making.
The video above was posted to Facebook user’s Seth Torres-Campbell page Sunday morning and was promptly removed as the clip began to go viral.
The incident became known around the same time Sergeants Benevolent Association President Ed Mullins blamed President Obama for the anti-cop police sentiment around the country Sunday.
Our leadership, from the president on down, has sent the message that law enforcement across the country are the bad guys,” Mullins said on John Catsimatidis’s AM 970 radio show.
“And ultimately have sent the message to the criminal element that it’s OK to carry firearms, that it’s okay to resist arrest.”
