It appears the manhunt for the second escaped killer is finally over.

Multiple sources say the second escaped New York prisoner, David Sweat, has been shot by police and is alive in their custody, reports The New York Times.

A state police sergeant reportedly saw Sweat walking down the road near Constable, N.Y. and ordered him to stop. Sweat allegedly broke out into a run prompting the officer to shoot him.

The other escaped prisoner, Richard Matt, was fatally shot Friday by law enforcement.

This will bring the massive manhunt for the two convicted murderers to an end three weeks after the pair broke out of the Clinton Correctional Facility in New York.

Two prison employees have been arrested and charged with assisting the convicts in their escape. Police are still investigating who all was involved.
