The mastermind behind the massacre of Christians at a Kenyan university was killed by a U.S. drone strike in Somalia early Thursday.

Four senior members of al-Shabab, an al-Qaida-linked terror group in Somalia, were killed in the strike, including the architect of the university attack, Mohamed Mohamud, Agence France Presse reports. Mohamud is known by several aliases, including Kuno, Gamadhere and Dulyadinand.

In April, four al-Shabab terrorists stormed Garissa University College in the early morning hours, separated Muslim and Christian students and killed the latter, shooting them as they fled.

Kenya’s interior ministry offered $215,00 for his capture in connection with the gruesome attack. (RELATED: Al-Shabab Terrorist Has History Of Targeting Non-Muslims)

President Barack Obama is expected to visit Kenya next week– his first visit since becoming commander in chief.
