Too many people may have been criticizing the MTV Video Music Awards for being racist to notice Miley Cyrus flashing her nipple on live television or Kanye West deciding he wants to be president Sunday night.
The awards show featured several skits and humorous introductions throughout the night, but many are denouncing them for being “tone deaf.”
In one skit, Cyrus ate a pot brownie made by her grandmother and called Snoop Dogg her “mammy.” (PHOTOS: Miley Cyrus Flashes Her Nipple On Live Television)
In another, Rebel Wilson seemed like she was going to talk about police brutality when she said “a lot of people have problems with the police,” but then she revealed that her shirt said “Fuck Tha Stripper Police” and instead talked about how disappointing police strippers were. While Seth Rogen and his team reportedly helped write the jokes, many blamed MTV and Cyrus for being “racist” and “culturally disrespectful.” (VIDEO: Nicki Minaj Verbally Attacks Miley Cyrus While Accepting Award)

I missed the VMA's but by the looks of it on the TL, Miley is a racist and Kanye is running for president…so nothing new

Whoever puts together the VMA's had to have documented all of the racist stuff we've been complaining about to put it all in the show.

While the show may have been bad, was it racist?
