Ellen DeGeneres didn’t enjoy her stint as a judge on “American Idol” at all.

“That’s one of the worst decisions I’ve made,” DeGeneres said during an interview with Howard Stern. “As a fan of the shows, it doesn’t matter that I sing or I know anything about pitch or anything, I’m like everybody else at home.”

“It’s ‘American Idol,’ so I thought ‘I’m gonna represent those people at home that have opinions.’ But then I just thought, ‘I can’t break this person’s heart.'” (RELATED: American Idol’ Sent A Cease-And-Desist Letter To SENIOR CITIZENS)

“Let somebody else do that.”

But the talk show host isn’t the only former judge who hated her time on “American Idol.”

Mariah Carey responded, “Hell no!” when asked if she would participate in a reunion show.

“Absolutely not. That was the worst experience of my life,” Carey said. “It’s so boring and so fake.” (RELATED: ‘American Idol’ Ending After 15 Seasons)
