Emilia Clarke plays Khaleesi on “Game of Thrones” — the HBO show known for its nudity — but the 22-year-old actress thinks sex scenes should be more subtle.
“I’m British, so I cringe at that sort of thing anyway — I can’t stand it,” Clarke told the Daily Mail. “I don’t want to have sex thrown in my face.”
“And I’ve always thought the suggestion is so much more titillating than the act itself. Most sex scenes you see in films or on TV are gratuitous and they’re usually just to attract an audience.” (RELATED: This ‘Game Of Thrones’ Actress Says She’s Staying A Virgin Until Marriage)
Clarke dislikes filming the naked scenes so much that she refused to do any more topless shots for “Game of Thrones” two years ago.
“On screen, the subtler the better.”
Clarke has dissed the nude scenes before, saying she “wanted to be known for my acting, not my breasts.” (RELATED: That Wasn’t Lena Headey’s Body During Cersei’s Naked Walk Of Shame On ‘Game Of Thrones’)
