Lena Dunham no longer runs her own Twitter account because she was bullied too much.
“I don’t look at Twitter anymore,” Dunham said during an interview with Recode Monday. “I tweet, but I do it through someone else.”

“I really appreciate that anybody follows me at all, and so I didn’t want to cut off my relationship to it completely, but it really, truly wasn’t a safe space for me.”

Dunham said she was also criticized after she posted a photo of her wearing nothing but her boyfriend’s underwear on Instagram.
