Donald Trump shrugged off calling Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] a “pussy” claiming, “It was like a retweet.”
Tuesday during Fox News’s “Fox & Friends,” Trump told hosts Steve Doocy and Tucker Carlson, “I would never say a word like that.”
Monday, during a campaign rally in New Hampshire, Trump repeated the accusation that Cruz was a “pussy” after hearing a member of his crowd shout it out.
Reflecting on the moment,”We were having a lot of fun,” Trump claimed. “It wasn’t overly bad and I have to tell you, the woman shouted and shouted, I said okay, I’m going to do it. It was like a retweet. So I would never say a word like that.”
“By the way, can I tell you what, the audience went crazy, standing ovation. Five thousand people went nuts. They loved it. You know, we were having fun,” Trump said. “And that’s what I mean about being politically correct.
