Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump has been declared the winner of the Republican primary in Georgia.

The billionaire businessman declared his victory on Twitter. Trump’s win was of little surprise as Real Clear Politics’s polling data put him 13 percentage points ahead of his nearest rival Florida Sen. [crscore]Marco Rubio[/crscore].

Voter turnout in the state was smooth with only a few technical problems in Fulton County and some voters confused about which polling station to go to.

In the run-up to Super Tuesday Trump was leading his rivals in most contests. According to a Real Clear Politics polling average, Trump is ahead in all but three of the 11 states voting on Tuesday. (RELATED: Super Trump’s Day: Donald Trump Favored To Sweep Most Super Tuesday Contests)
