New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio claims that “a lot of New Yorkers” want to say f**k you to Sen. [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore].

In an interview on CNN’s “At This Hour With Berman and Bolduan” on Thursday, de Blasio was asked if he shared the same “sentiment” with the New York Daily News and their headline that said, “Take the F U Train Ted” and the liberal mayor claimed, “Well, I would not say it in those particular words” but “a lot of New Yorkers are feeling that today.” (WATCH: Trump Stuns Cruz Into Silence During ‘New York Values’ Fight)

De Blasio, who has endorsed Hillary Clinton, later noted that he finds the Daily News “colorful in their approach.”

Adding, “I think a lot of New Yorkers are feeling that today. And Daily News, I think they call it like they see it. They’re not a particularly partisan paper. But I think they’re representing the fact that the hypocrisy of Ted Cruz is clear here, and we don’t take kindly to it.”

In December 2015, a Daily News writer claimed that one of the victims of the terrorist attack in San Bernardino, Calif., was just as bad as the killers since he was outspoken about Islamic extremism on Facebook. (RELATED: NY Daily News: San Bernardino Victim Deserved It For Being Conservative)

Then in January, after Cruz criticized New York values, the paper published a cover story telling Cruz to “Drop Dead,” alongside a Photoshopped picture of the Statue of Liberty giving Cruz the finger. (RELATED: New York Daily News Tells Ted Cruz To ‘Drop Dead’)
