A pair of videos showing the shooting of 12 Dallas police officers surfaced on Twitter Thursday night.

The first recording shows a police car speeding through downtown Dallas, but does not appear to show the actual gunfight. Dozens of loud gunshots from at least two different weapons can be heard very close by.

“Oh my God, there’s people laying on the ground, I hope they are OK,” said one of the individuals recording from the scene.

“Somebody’s armed, somebody’s really armed to the teeth,” said another bystander.

A second video taken from another angle allegedly shows the moment “snipers” fired on police.

“Is that a cop dead?” said one of the individuals filming the scene. “Dude, that’s a cop down.”

“Yea, there’s four cops down,” said another bystander.

It is believed that two shooters wearing body armor fired upon police from elevated positions with what have been described as high-powered rifles. The shooting took place during a protest in downtown Dallas in response to the shootings of two black men killed by police earlier this week.

As of the writing of this article, five of the 12 officers shot have died from their wounds. Authorities currently have three suspects in custody. One was killed in a standoff with police.

Dallas police chief David Brown announced during a press briefing that one of the suspects said “he was upset about Black Lives Matter” and the recent shootings, and that he wanted to kill white people, particularly white policemen.
