Donald Trump said people would suggest that he name his daughter Ivanka to his presidential cabinet.

In an interview that aired Thursday, Florida reporter Angelia Savage of First Coast News asked the Republican presidential nominee who would be the first woman he would name to his cabinet. “Well, we have so many different ones to choose. I can tell you everybody would say, ‘Put Ivanka in, put Ivanka in,'” Trump said. “You know that, right?” (RELATED: Ivanka Trump Reveals How Her Father Makes Decisions)

“She’s very popular, she’s done very well,” he added.

Ivanka Trump has been one of her father’s most vocal supporters during the campaign. Speaking at the Republican National Convention last month, she told supporters that her father, during the year-long campaign, went from being the “people’s champion” to the “people’s nominee.” Trump added that not only was her father more than qualified to fill the highest seat of the land, he had the “compassion and kindness” to be the kind of leader the country needs.
