Charles Krauthammer praised Donald Trump’s meeting with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto during a Wednesday interview on Fox News.
“He took a risk, and he pulled it off.” the Fox News contributor stated. “The thing the Clinton campaign plays on is that it’s hard to imagine him to be president, to be presidential.”
“Now here he is on the world stage with a world leader. This is a big step,” he continued. “He not only held his own I think in some ways he sort of dominated.”
Krauthammer explained how “the Mexican president was rather defensive, asking for respect. Trump I think spoke well, and then if you notice at the very end when they took questions, Trump took charge.”
“He walked off the stage as the dominant guy. He walked off the stage, and I think he really helped himself.”
