A city in China is preparing to ring in the year of the rooster with a special statue of President-elect Donald Trump.

A gigantic rooster statue rocking a Trump hairstyle and mimicking the president-elect’s hand gestures has been erected outside a shopping mall in Taiyuan, Shanxi, reports the People’s Daily.

The designer admitted the statue was inspired by America’s next president.

Visitors reportedly referred to the statue as a unique blend of Chinese and Western culture.

The relationship between China and the incoming president has been tense since Trump accepted a phone call from Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen in a break with decades of diplomatic practice and questioned the “one China policy,” which China regards as a prerequisite for countries that seek to cooperate with China.

Trump has also blasted China for manipulating its currency and engaging in unfair trading practices. He has threatened to label China a currency manipulator and slap high tariffs on Chinese goods, much to Beijing’s displeasure.

Trump also continues to refer to China as a “non-market economy,” which China considers outrageous.

Chinese officials also expressed frustration after Trump criticized the country for unlawfully seizing a U.S. Navy unmanned underwater vehicle operating legally in the South China Sea.
