Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow will make his MLB spring training debut Monday.
The 29-year-old was spotted arriving at the New York Mets’ camp in Port St. Lucie, Florida just after 9 a.m. EST.
He took part in the team’s 11 a.m. press conference, during which Mets manager Terry Collins called him “a star in his own right.”
“This is a tremendous clubhouse,” Collins added. “I know they’re going to reach out at make him feel at home.”

“I wish him all the best,” he continued, before noting that Tebow has much work to do if he plans on making the big league squad.
Tebow will reportedly take batting practice and take part in defensive drill work, yet Collins did not confirm whether he will play in Monday’s game.
