There is one reason and one reason only why Johnny Manziel has still not been signed by an NFL team: racism.

You people can’t imagine the frustration I have as I sit at my computer only days after I believed I ended racism in America, only to see a white American quarterback with Middle Eastern roots remain unemployed.

Some very uneducated and overpaid people at ESPN will tell you the reason Manziel remains unsigned is because of off-the-field issues and alleged problems with substance abuse. Once again we see these racist dog whistles destroying a young man’s life. (SLIDESHOWJohnny Manziel‘s Rumored Girlfriend Barely Wears Anything On Instagram)

America become inherently more racist the day Donald Trump won the election, that my friends is an indisputable fact. If that’s not the case, then explain to me why the Texas-born quarterback was in the NFL when Barack Obama, a black man, was president but not today under the Trump regime. There is no reasonable explanation. So here I, the least racist man to ever live according to some, am once again forced to pick up the torch of social justice and fight for his right to sling the pigskins on Sundays.

Now, does Manziel have a history of publicly partying? Sure, I’ll concede that point, but so do many other current quarterbacks on NFL rosters. You know what those other quarterbacks don’t have in common with Johnny Football? That’s right, they’re not from Middle Eastern roots. It’s sickening to me, and if any of you out there would read a history book it’d be sickening to you, too. (SLIDESHOW: Johnny Manziel‘s Sister Loves Showing Off Lots Of Skin)

Peyton Manning, a privileged white man, can openly promote alcohol after winning the Super Bowl and that’s fine, but I’ll be damned if Manziel isn’t criticized for enjoying some drinks at a Cleveland bar.

Did Manziel also allegedly strike his ex-girlfriend? Once again yes, but he wasn’t found guilty in court and last time I check my feet were still firmly planted in America. I don’t care what the “allegations” against Mr. Manziel are. There is no amount of evidence that can overcome the glaring fact if he weren’t of Middle Eastern descent, he’d probably already have a Super Bowl ring.

How far has America fallen into despair in the past few months that a Heisman-winning quarterback of Middle Eastern descent is still a free-agent but glorified frat bro Matthew Stafford is on the cusp of signing the biggest deal in NFL history.

Finally, I’m getting really tired of apparently being the only person in America that cares about protecting the rights of minorities. I completely put aside my vast amounts of white privilege when I allowed my alma mater, the University of Wisconsin, to lose in March Madness so racism would end forever. I thought I had won the war, but what I failed to realize is that it was only the first battle in a much bigger war.

So here I am, once again being forced to use my platform to defend the voiceless. To each and every NFL general manager out there, shame on you for allowing a Heisman winner of Middle Eastern descent to linger on the free agent market. The media might be covering for you but I am about to expose all of you for what you are.

And please, there is no need to praise my heroic actions and attention I’m raising for this devastating situation. I’m no hero. I’m just one man with a computer and the will to speak up. I’ll let history decide my legacy.
