UPDATE (5:25 p.m. EST): Yonhap News Agency (South Korea) reports that the missile launch appears to have failed.
“North Korea fired an unidentified missile from a site in the vicinity of Bukchang in Pyeongannam-do (South Pyeongan Province) early this morning,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff told Yonhap in a statement.
North Korea reportedly test fired yet another ballistic missile just after 5 p.m. EST Friday.
CNBC was the among first outlets to report the test, and CNN stated that sources within the South Korean military confirmed the launch shortly thereafter.
