Sarah Huckabee Sanders dropped the gloves during her first White House press briefing, noting that she would never use Politico as a “source.”
The White House deputy press secretary took over for Sean Spicer Friday and fielded a question regarding a Politico report claiming the Trump administration is planning to gut the Office of National Drug Control Policy.
“Look, my first piece of advice would never be to use Politico for a source for your story,” she declared.
“When it comes to the opioid epidemic I think the president’s been extremely clear that this is a top priority for him,” she continued. “I think it would be ridiculous to comment on a draft version of something at this point.”
