Congresswoman Maxine Waters was honored with a standing ovation and thanked for her stance in “these times” Sunday at the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards show.
Actress Tracee Ellis Ross appeared on stage with the California Democrat to present the “Best Fight Against the System” award and warned that she was about to go “off-script” before she began praising Waters for “her voice” in the current political atmosphere without specifically naming President Donald Trump.
