House Democrats gathered in prayer for House Majority Whip Rep. Steve Scalise, who was shot in Alexandria, Va. early Wednesday morning while practicing for an annual congressional baseball game.
Democratic Nevada Rep. Ruben Kihuen tweeted a photo after the shooting. A group of Democrats got together to pray for those shot Wednesday morning.
Scalise is currently at a local hospital.

Scalise is the majority whip of the Republican party and because of this high rank he has a security detail, unlike other members of congress. “If Rep. Steve Scalise wasn’t there it would be a massacre,” Sen. Rand Paul told Fox News.
