Lonzo Ball was drafted second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers and his pro dream will become a reality Monday when he officially signs his four-year contract with the team. Ball played a year of college basketball with UCLA before being selected by the Lakers during the NBA draft on June 22.

According to Bleacher Report, the four-year contract will be worth $33.4 million, the maximum allowed for a number two pick.

Lakers President Magic Johnson praised Lonzo and said that the draftee has the potential to be a great leader for the team and help his teammates improve, Bleacher Report noted.

During Ball’s time at UCLA he was averaging 14.6 points per game, 7.6 assists per game, and 6 rebounds per game. Lonzo is normally seen as an offensive player, but coaches and staff have said that if he puts his mind to it, he will be able to be known as a defensive player as well.
