After a five-year hiatus, HBO is officially bringing back “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
The widely popular comedy hasn’t released a new episode since 2011, but will return to HBO on October 1 with a new season.
HBO announced the news on Twitter Monday afternoon with just two tweets. One included a promo video featuring the star and creator of the show, Larry David, dressed in a toga with an olive branch crown on his head.

“Larry David is back. #CurbYourEnthusiasm returns for Season 9 on October 1,” HBO announced in the tweet.
The promotional video was followed by another tweet including a photo featuring the “Curb” creator in the same outfit with the words “He left. He did nothing. He returned” written across his portrait.

The Julius Caesar-inspired announcement comes after Larry David announced the show would have a reprise back in June of 2016.
“In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, ‘I left, I did nothing, I returned,'” David said about a year ago. Now, after fans have anxiously awaited his show’s official return, they can begin counting down the days to its release.
