‘Great Replacement’: French Archbishop Warns Of Increasing Muslim Birth Rate In The Country
An archbishop in France warned about the dangers of Muslim immigration and a rapidly changing demographic in the country, according to International Business Times Wednesday.
Archbishop of Strasbourg Luc Ravel criticized the migration crisis of predominantly Muslim refugees from the Middle East and Northern Africa, fearing that France’s acceptance of Islamic migrants will destroy French values and culture.
“Muslim believers know very well that their birth rate is such that today, they call it … the Great Replacement, they tell you in a very calm, very positive way that, ‘one day all this, it will be ours,'” said Ravel in an interview with the newspaper Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace.
Ravel was convicted of inciting racial hatred in 2014 due to speaking out against the Islamization of France. He was fined 4,000 euros based on the courts ruling that it was a “very violent stigmatization of Muslims.”
The majority of French citizens believe that Islam is incompatible with French culture, according to a survey published by The Local on July 4. The Pew Research Center reported that there were approximately 4.7 million Muslims in France as of 2010.
