“Vancouver Police can confirm that a female stunt driver has died on the set of Deadpool during a stunt on a motorcycle,” police said in a statement.
The fatal incident is the latest stunt-related accident in a string of them that have occurred during the filming of a movie or television show lately.
Just last month a stuntman fell on the set of “The Walking Dead” and later died due to blunt force trauma from his fall. More recently, Tom Cruise was injured during the filming of “Mission: Impossible 6.”
The Vancouver Police are working alongside Work Safe B.C. on the investigation into the “Deadpool” stuntwoman’s death.
