Detroit police tackled a homicide suspect off the roof of a minivan in the middle of a busy freeway after a high speed chase through the city Friday afternoon.
The suspect got on and off the busy freeway several times before getting a flat tire. With several police cars in pursuit, the suspect got out of his car and began running, jumping over the concrete barrier dividing the lanes of the freeway and running into oncoming traffic. Several authorities also hopped over the barrier and chased after him.
The suspect then jumped onto the hood of a slowly-moving minivan on the other side of the freeway. A police officer climbed up on the car after him and tackled the suspect to the ground from the roof of the minivan.
