President Donald Trump continued his public attacks on critics of his administration’s hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico and praised first responders for their efforts in a Sunday tweet.

This latest salvo in Trump’s ongoing battle with the media and his critics comes one day after he fired off 18 tweets related to the ongoing relief efforts in Puerto Rico in an 11 hour period.
The volley of tweets began early Saturday morning when Trump condemned San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz for criticizing the federal response to Hurricane Maria, a category 4 Hurricane that made landfall on Sept. 20.
Cruz suggested that the federal response to the Hurricane has been inadequate during a Friday interview on CNN’s “New Day.”
“Well maybe from where she’s standing it’s a good news story,” Cruz told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota after she was played a clip of acting Homeland Security Secretary Elaine Duke suggesting the recovery represented a “good news story.” “When you’re drinking from a creek, it’s not a good news story. When you don’t have food for a baby, it’s not a good news story. When you have to pull people down from buildings — I’m sorry, that really upsets me and frustrates me.”
Trump responded in characteristic fashion, accusing Cruz of coordinating with fellow Democrats to disparage the relief efforts in a cynical and politically-motivated effort.
The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump.
