Country music star Jake Owen described the horrifying scene of the Las Vegas massacre Monday morning to CBS.
Owen talked about the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history over the phone with CBS News, and the details are downright horrifying.
He told CBS the following:
We started just running in any direction because you didn’t know where it was coming from. At one point I was kind of sitting on the ground behind a car with about 20 other people crouched down behind a car. And just the fear in everybody’s eyes, but yet, the feeling of everybody looking around to make sure somebody was okay. I’ve just never experienced anything like this before.
…
I thought it was perhaps the pyrotechnics then I realized it literally sounded like a fully-automatic uzi or machine gun. That’s when you knew it was not the pyrotechnics and it was somebody shooting a fully automatic rifle.
