Fernand Amandi, a Democratic pollster and frequent guest on MSNBC’s “AM Joy,” asserted Saturday that the GOP is a “domestic terror group.”

WATCH:

Amandi’s rant began after host Joy Reid asked him why members of Congress from Florida were not working harder to renew the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). According to Amandi, because the GOP is “pro-pay-for-play,” “pro-Putin,” and “pro-pedophilia,” it’s not surprising that they wouldn’t fight to save CHIP.

“Is it any surprise that the party that is pro-pay-for-play, pro-Putin, and now with Roy Moore, pro-pedophilia, the fact that they’re anti-children, is that any surprise?” he declared. “I don’t think it is.”

Amandi’s rhetoric continued to spiral downward until he eventually called the GOP a “domestic terror group” and suggested they be locked up in prison.

“This is not a political party — this is a domestic terror group,” he asserted. “And I think what the American people should consider when they ask themselves that question — with a party that has done nothing to help the American people — is to vote them out and consider possibly afterwards locking them up, Joy.”

Reid didn’t challenge or question Amandi’s talking points, and instead quickly pivoted to the next guest, Katon Dawson. Dawson, a Republican politician, even seemed unfazed by Amandi’s outburst.
