A bar in Charleston, West Virginia is combining throwing axes and booze.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted a photo from inside Axes and Ales, where patrons can apparently test their hand at throwing axes.
New to the bar scene: A place called “Axes & Ales” in Charleston, West Virginia.
Opening next Thursday, patrons can drink craft beers and throw axes into wood paneled walls.

I’m actually kind of an expert on this issue because I know a lot about weapons and I know a lot about beer. Generally speaking, combining the two isn’t exactly a genius idea.
There’s a reason why we don’t break out the beer until after we’re done on the shooting range. Of course, throwing axes while tanked also seems like a ton of fun, but just because something is fun doesn’t mean you should do it.
Rovell doesn’t reveal if there’s any rules for how this works. Maybe the bar doesn’t allow you to throw after you’ve been drinking. Maybe it does. I just hope somebody put a hell of a lot of planning into this. Would hate to see an accident.
