Just under 50 percent of voters agree with the government’s decision to look into how Planned Parenthood is handling aborted tissue, according to a Tuesday Rasmussen Reports poll.
Forty-six percent of voters believe that the DOJ should investigate how Planned Parenthood handles fetal tissue from aborted babies, while 38 percent disagree according to its survey of 1,000 “Likely Voters” conducted Dec. 10 and 11.
Another Tuesday survey found that most Americans want to see more Christmas in schools and think religious displays have a place on government property. Rasmussen Reports found that over 70 percent of adult Americans believe religious symbols like Christmas nativity scenes, Hanukkah menorahs and Muslim crescents should be allowed on public land in a national telephone and online survey. Eighteen percent disagree and 11 percent remain undecided.
The poll comes after two organizations, DV Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences, which worked with Planned Parenthood to distribute the parts of aborted fetuses to researchers, admitted to breaking fetal tissue laws and agreed to a settlement closing their operations. The settlement seized the profits the companies gained from illegally selling fetal tissue. (RELATED: Planned Parenthood Partners Admit To Liability For Selling Baby Parts).
