People aren’t taking kindly to the fact that “Wind River” got zero Oscars nominations.
I bravely and proudly defended this great movie earlier today, and I’m grateful that I’ve served as a rallying beacon for the internet.
Wind River getting 0 noms is insanity

turns out I was the only person who saw Wind River

It’s sad that the stench of Harvey Weinstein could be shaken off “Wind River” because Jeremy Renner and Ben Richardson were right there for the choosing this entire season.#OscarNoms

For what it’s worth, I really thought “Wind River” deserved something.

Things that were completely snubbed:
Wind River
The Beguiled
Maudie
Professor Marston and the Wonder Women
Rebecca Hall
Andy Serkis
Sylvia Hoeks
James McAvoy

Can we all agree that #WindRiver has been wrongfully shut out of this entire awards season? Regardless of Weinstein’s involvement, I would argue it is undoubtedly one of 2017’s finest films.

Apparently, the #HarveyWeinstein mess has completely and unfairly destroyed a film like #WindRiver chances at even a screenplay nomination! #Snubs #Oscars #Oscars2018 #taylorsheridan #JeremyRenner https://t.co/BhjLgagDB2 pic.twitter.com/SKcJ21AU1a

Did I think I would be the face of truth and justice when I woke up this morning? Hell no, but here we are. I guess this is just my burden to carry.
Some people probably think I’m overreacting, but I’m literally willing to die on this hill. Hollywood is embroiled with scandals about mistreating women, we then get a great movie about a powerful female FBI agent, a badass game ranger and a bunch of dead rapists. Are you kidding me? I get that Weinstein was behind this movie, but that’s all the better reason to recognize this film. He got scrubbed, the movie was awesome and it deserves recognition.
There’s more fairness and justice in a third world dictatorship than at The Academy. I hope the stars of the film refuse to show up.
