Am I surprised that cordless phones are on sale? Absolutely not. If anything, I’m surprised that this is a one-day-only sale as opposed to a more general price slashing. Do people still have landlines? I suppose my parents do, but I NEVER hear it ring whenever I return home for a visit. What’s the point of home phones?
I do not know the answer to that question. My first thought was that it might be useful, perhaps if you have young children, for the school to contact you in case of an emergency. But I quickly realized that doesn’t make any sense: if there truly was an emergency, you would want them to contact the phone you were guaranteed to be next to, aka your cell phone.
