Hulu might have a monster hit on its hands with “Looming Tower.”
The show follows the FBI, CIA and the U.S. government in the years before 9/11.

Jeff Daniels stars in the lead role as FBI agent John O’Neill, and he does an outstanding job.
I had some time over the weekend to knockout the first episode. Like most people, I am fascinated by 9/11 and the war on terror. The first episode didn’t disappoint at all.
The lack of coordination between the FBI and the CIA is on full display, and the vitriol between the two organizations is hardly hidden.

The first episode ends with the 1998 embassy bombing in Nairobi, Kenya. The tone is immediately set that America is about to have a major fight on our hands.
I had very high expectations when I fired up “Looming Tower.” The story behind 9/11 and the fight with terrorism is a story that needs to be told, and it needs to be told correctly. The American public should know why 9/11 happened, we should know about the failures of our intelligence apparatus and we should know what could have been done differently.
“Looming Tower” takes a look at all of that and more. I fully recommend checking it out.
