Denver Broncos star Von Miller’s recent shark fishing trip might have him in some hot water.

Miller snagged a hammerhead shark off the coast of Florida, and PETA is apparently furious with the way the whole situation was handled.

TMZ reported the following:

PETA vowed to follow up with wildlife officials and said they would “ensure Miller is held accountable.”

The complaint got all the way to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission — a government law enforcement agency that regulates hunting and fishing.

We spoke with FWC Public Information Coordinator Rob Klepper who tells us, “FWC has received the images and video and is looking into whether or not a violation occurred in this incident.”

I’m glad law enforcement and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is wasting time figuring out what Von Miller was up to on a fishing trip. Does anybody care he might have killed a shark? I know I sure don’t. It’s a shark.

I wrote an article earlier today about a shark attacking a boat, and now we’re supposed to be protecting the sharks. Give me a break. They’re sharks. We should be having subs that hunt them on a regular basis. I want special torpedoes designed to take out sharks.

Von Miller was just ahead of the times. Don’t pretend for a second that you all wouldn’t do the exact same. As far as I’m concerned, Miller is a hero, and PETA would agree in a heartbeat if they ever found themselves being circled by sharks.
