The anticipation is officially over and The Masters tournament is now officially underway at Augusta National Golf Club.
Thursday morning, Masters champions and golf legends Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player served as honorary starters of the 2018 tournament. Thousands of fans gathered in front of the club house on Thursday morning to watch the two greats tee it up for the ceremonial start.

Player, 82, was the first to take the tee and seemed satisfied with his drive down the fairway of the first hole. Nicklaus, 78, followed and earned a loud applause from the fans gathered on the lawn after teeing off. (SLIDESHOW: Start The Masters Off Right With The Hottest WAGs At Augusta National)
The two Masters champions may not be playing in this year’s tournament, but the old-timers still have it. On Wednesday the two of them played alongside 68-year-old Tom Watson in the Par 3 Contest. Despite some of the best young players in the game being out there, Watson came out on top and won the competition.

We’ll just have to wait and see which of the young guns joins the company of these three legends as a Masters champion in the next few days.
