Philippe Reines offered a quasi-apology for his tweet that dragged Vanessa Trump into his sexually charged attack on Donald Trump Jr., her soon-to-be ex-husband.
The former Hillary Clinton staffer took full ownership of his comments, and apologized to everyone but Don Jr. in a follow-up tweet on Wednesday evening.
With time to think:
• I regret the Tweet. But I wrote it, I own it. So leaving it.
• Friendlies: I’m sorry to disappoint. It’s a learning moment.
• Vanessa/Valentin: Wrong to include you
• MAGATs: Take your vitriolic hypocrisy & shove it
• Jr: You ain’t seen nothing yet https://t.co/sbO4bzAPfy

In Reines’ initial tweet, he had claimed that Vanessa, who was married to Don Jr. for 12 years, likely fantasized about her Latin King ex when she was with him.
Vanessa being with a Latin King must’ve driven you insanely jealous. The machismo, the passion. Tough act to follow. Did you wonder if she fantasized about Valentin Rivera when intimate with you?
She did. Every time.https://t.co/HvRyWgjVfA

Reines told the Daily Caller via email that he was not sorry for attacking Don Jr., saying, “For Trumpflakes who spew vitriol but can’t handle it: yes, I bet his wife – who was cheated on while pregnant, just like her father-in-law – fantasized about ex-boyfriends. Or anyone not named Don Jr.”
