Jason Emert, a Republican running in Tennessee’s second district, released an ad Thursday in which he builds a wall to demonstrate his support for the president.

Check out our new ad that begins airing today. Unlike Butch Jones and career politicians, I will keep my promises to you. I will work with President Trump to build the wall, end chain migration, and make Washington work for us again! pic.twitter.com/zu1DREVIVY

The ad begins with Emert wearing a University of Tennessee polo while standing behind a partially built brick wall. Throughout it, he applied mortar to different bricks as he continued to add on to the wall.
He also took a shot at former Tennessee Vols football coach Butch Jones in the ad, saying, “I’m Jason Emert and I approve this message because, unlike Butch Jones, when I say I’m going to do something, I actually mean it.”
The video labeled Emert as “Pro Trump, pro wall, conservative Republican.”
Emert will be going up against Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett, Tenessee Rep. Jimmy Matlock, Hank Hamblin and other candidates for the Republican nomination in August. They are vying to fill the seat currently occupied by Jimmy Duncan Jr., who previously announced he would not run for re-election because he wants to spend more time with his family.
