President Trump discredited Bob Woodward’s new book, which quotes the president allegedly calling Attorney General Jeff Sessions “mentally retarded” and a “dumb Southerner,” in a tweet Tuesday night.
Trump refuted the claims saying, “I said NEITHER, never used those terms on anyone, including Jeff, and being a southerner is a GREAT thing. He made this up to divide!” (RELATED: Exclusive: Trump Says Bob Woodward Has ‘A Lot Of Credibility Problems’)
The already discredited Woodward book, so many lies and phony sources, has me calling Jeff Sessions “mentally retarded” and “a dumb southerner.” I said NEITHER, never used those terms on anyone, including Jeff, and being a southerner is a GREAT thing. He made this up to divide!

White House Chief of Staff General John Kelly, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders all issued statements Tuesday night refuting claims made in the book.
While the president has refuted the claims in the book, he and Sessions have had what can be described as a rocky relationship.
“It’s just another bad book. He’s had a lot of credibility problems,” he said in an interview with The Daily Caller, adding, “I probably would have preferred to speak to him, but maybe not. I think it probably wouldn’t have made a difference in the book. He wanted to write the book a certain way.”
