Singer Olivia Newton-John revealed on the Australian show “Sunday Night” that she is battling cancer for the third time.
“I’m one of millions in this fight … I shouldn’t say fight, in this journey,” Newton-John shared, revealing that this time the tumor is located at the base of her spine, according to ABC News. “A lot of people see it as a fight. Wherever you choose to see it that’s your prerogative.”

But the “Grease” star said she sees the cancer as “part of her mission.” She explained that she’s currently treating it “naturally” and “doing really well.” This includes changing her diet as well as undergoing radiation therapy and using cannabis oil to deal with the pain.
“A lot of cannabis, my husband grows for me,” Newton-John said. “They help with pain, they help with sleep.”
When asked if she is scared, the singer explained that she “doesn’t go there.”
“No, I don’t go there. I’d be lying if I said I never go there,” she added. “There are moments, I’m human. If I allowed myself to go there, I could easily create that big fear. But my husband’s always there, and he’s there to support me.”
She continued, “I believe I will win over it. That’s my goal.”
During the interview, the singer also revealed for the first time that she had been diagnosed in 2013 with shoulder cancer. She first went public in 1992 about her breast cancer battle.
“The first time I talked about it, and the second time I thought I didn’t really need to share this, it’s not something I need to share with people,” the “Xanadu” star explained. “It’s my life and I decided to keep it to myself.”
