The ratings for last night’s “Monday Night Football” showing are in, and they’re pretty big.

Monday’s matchup between the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers took place in San Francisco, CA. ESPN finished with a 7.4 Nielsen rating among adults aged 18-49 in the U.S., which means 7.4 percent of the measured demographic tuned in, according to the network’s PR analytics. The 7.4 rating is certainly something ESPN can be proud of. That’s up 19 percent compared to last year’s “Monday Night Football” showing at the same time, according to ESPN PR.

The Giants ultimately pulled off a win, their second of the season. The final score was 27-23, bringing New York’s record up to 2-7. The 49ers aren’t far behind, with a 2-8 record.
